When we opened our first showroom in January 2019, we couldn’t have predicted the rapid expansion that would follow—but every step was driven by passion, vision, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
The First Showroom in Georgetown: Building from the Ground Up
In 2019, our journey began with a single goal: to keep our team together and bring exceptional kitchen remodeling services to life. When Mark Palmer, our founder, opened the Georgetown showroom, it wasn’t just about a building; it was about creating a space where clients could feel seen, heard, and inspired. Finding the right location was only part of the challenge—assembling a dedicated team who believed in our mission was just as important. With six passionate people, we set out to Improve the Heart of Local Homes for many families in Coastal GA and the Greater Savannah Area.
Hilton Head Island Showroom: Expanding Our Reach
As the demand for luxury kitchen remodeling grew, so did our ambition. In February 2023, we opened a studio showroom on Hilton Head Island. But it wasn’t as simple as finding a spot on the map. We needed a place that would reflect the high standards of the communities we serve, such as Sea Pines and Palmetto Dunes. Months were spent evaluating locations, considering client needs, and finding a showroom manager who could embody our high standards.
Beaufort, SC: A Commitment to Community
March 2024 marked another milestone with the opening of our Beaufort showroom. We’ve always believed that the best kitchen remodel companies don’t just serve clients; they become part of the community. Habersham and other local neighborhoods welcomed us with open arms, but building this location required a deep understanding of what makes Beaufort special. The team we assembled was more than just employees—they were people who cared about making a difference in local families’ lives.
Shops at Sandfly and Beyond: Honoring Our Team’s Dedication
In July 2024, we launched a showroom in the Shops of Sandfly, serving Skidaway Island and The Landings. This expansion was a tribute to the dedication of one of our original sales and design teams, who wanted to better serve their clients in this cherished area. It was a reminder that KDS isn’t just about business—it’s about relationships, trust, and the people who make it all possible.
Bluffton’s New Showroom: A Reflection of Growth and Passion
October 2024 brought us to Bluffton, SC, near neighborhoods like The Crescent and Hampton Hall. Opening this showroom was about more than just expanding; it was about solidifying our presence in the Lowcountry. Our growing team worked tirelessly to design a state of the art space that reflected our values of quality, craftsmanship, and care. This showroom features exquisite vignettes from our preferred vendors, Marsh Furniture Company, Shiloh and Eclipse, and GrotHouse, Hoodsly, Custom Wood Products and more!
