Transforming a 1980s house on Wilmington Island, our team embraced a midcentury modern design inspired by the clients beloved Lake House in South Carolina. The original kitchen was plagued with dreadful cabinets, a tiny island, and hideous tiles that were coming off the floor, making cooking a chore and the space far from functional. The kitchen renovation was nothing short of incredible, with sleek black cabinets and brass accents now setting the stage for a stunning midcentury modern ambiance. The homeowners, passionate about cooking and drawing from their Italian and Latina heritage, now revel in a space that has become the heart of their home. The design team was a joy to collaborate with, and KDS exceeded expectations, delivering everything on time with impeccable quality. The new kitchen, complete with ceiling speakers and plans for a green velvet banquette in the corner, has revolutionized their lifestyle. What was once loathed is now loved, as the open and inviting kitchen has transformed into a cherished hub where the couple enjoys spending time and creating culinary delights.
